Civil Aviation Authority Article 16 Authorisation 2026
The Civil Aviation Authority and now issued the 2026 Article 16 Authorisation.

Civil Aviation Authority Regulatory Changes
As of today, 1st January 2026, all models with a Take Off Weight of100gr or more must have an Operator ID label attached.

The CAA legal requirements for Remote ID for unmanned aircraft (drones & model aircraft) can read at https://www.caa.co.uk/drones/moving-on-to-more-advanced-flying/remote-id-rid
It is important to note that none of the Remote ID requirements will come into effect for model aircraft until 2028, exemptions to the remote ID requirements are expected to be granted for BMFA members operating under Article 16 Authorisation.
