How to Add a Flight Timer on Radiomaster Boxer

These instruction show you how to add a Flight Timer with Countdown on a Radiomaster Boxer

We will create a 10 minute flight timer based on the Throttle position with a 30 second countdown at the end.

Start

  • Power on the Transmitter
  • Press MDL button
  • Select the Model to add a Timer
  • Press the Page> button
  • Scroll down to Timer 1, press the Scroll Wheel
  • Scroll to THs, press the Scroll Wheel
  • Scroll to Right, press the Scroll Wheel
  • Select SE↓, Press Scroll Wheel
  • Scroll to Name, press the Scroll Wheel
  • Use the Scroll Wheel to select the characters of the timer name, press the Scroll Wheel to go to the next character, three character max, suggest 10m
  • Scroll to Start, press the Scroll Wheel
  • Use the Scroll Wheel to select Minutes, (10), press the Scroll Wheel

(The timer can be refined when you know how long your battery lasts)

  • Scroll to Minute, Press the Scroll Wheel to Tick the box,
  • Scroll to Countdown, press the Scroll Wheel
  • Change Silent to Voice, press the Scroll Wheel
  • Scroll to Right, press the Scroll Wheel
  • Set the time to 30s, press the Scroll Wheel

The Voice Countdown will start 30s before the end of the 10m period

  • Up to Three timers can be set
  • Press RTN twice to exit

With the Throttle Safety Switch Active, Increase the Throttle, the countdown will begin, More throttle gives Faster countdown, returning the Throttle to Minimum will Stop the countdown, this allows for fuel usage to be estimated based on Throttle position.
