How to add Rates to Elevator and Ailerons with Voice Feedback on EdgeTX Companion

Rates chage to maximum movement of the controls, we will set 100%, 75% and 50%

Start

  • Double Click the Model you wish to change

The Model Configuration Window will appear with the Setup tab selected

  • Select the Inputs Tap

Add Rates to Elevator

  • Double click I2:Ele to Open the Lines configuration window
    • TX16s – Change Switch to SE↑
    • Boxer – Change Switch to SG↑
  • Press OK
  • Right Click I2:Ele, select Line, Select Copy
  • Right Click I2:Ele, select Line, Select Paste
  • Repeat, Right Click I2:Ele, select Line, Select Paste
  • Three identical lines will be displayed under I2:Ele
  • Select the Second line, double click
  • Change Weight Source to 75
    • TX16s – Change Switch to SE-
    • Boxer – Change Switch to SG-
  • Press OK
  • Select the Third line under I2:Ele, double click
  • Change Weight Source to 50
    • TX16s – Change Switch to SE↓
    • Boxer – Change Switch to SG↓
  • Press OK

Add Rates to Aileron

  • Double click I4:Ail to Open the Lines configuration window
    • TX16s – Change Switch to SE↑
    • Boxer – Change Switch to SG↑
  • Press OK
  • Right Click I4:Ail, select Line, Select Copy
  • Right Click I4:Ail, select Line, Select Paste
  • Repeat, Right Click I4:Ail, select Line, Select Paste
  • Three identical lines will be displayed under I4:Ail
  • Select the Second line, double click
  • Change Weight Source to 75
    • TX16s – Change Switch to SE-
    • Boxer – Change Switch to SG-
  • Press OK
  • Select the Third line under I4:Ail, double click
  • Change Weight Source to 50
    • TX16s – Change Switch to SE↓
    • Boxer – Change Switch to SG↓
  • Press OK

Add Voice Feedback

  • Select the Special Function tab
  • On the next blank line select
    • TX16s – SE↑
    • Boxer – SG↑
  • Change Action to Play Track (press p twice for quick selection)
  • Change Parameter to rathi (press r twice for quick selection)
  • On the next blank line select
    • TX16s – SE-
    • Boxer – SG-
  • Change Action to Play Track (press p twice for quick selection)
  • Change Parameter to ratmed (press r twice for quick selection)
  • On the next blank line select
    • TX16s – SE↓
    • Boxer – SG↓
  • Change Action to Play Track (press p twice for quick selection)
  • Change Parameter to ratlow (press r twice for quick selection)
  • Close the window

Write the Configuration back to the Transmitter

  • If the Transmitter is no longer connected to the computer, reconnect it 
    • While holding the Rudder and Aileron trims toward each other, Power On the Transmitter
    • Connect a USB cable between the Transmitter and PC
  • Select Write Models and Setting to Radio (Top of left tool bar)
  • Disconnect the Transmitter

Moving the Rate Switch Away from you the Transmitter will say High Rate, the of Elevator and Ailerons will have Full movement, moving the switch to the Centre position the Transmitter will say Medium Rate, Elevators and Aileron will have 75% movement, moving the switch Toward you the transmitter will say Low Rate, Elevators and Aileron will have 50% movement
